Just a few notes -
-
Sorry about the small photos this was a project from many
years ago and these were all I could find.
-
My goal when I did this project was to give a standard poser
Barbie wrist articulation and the ability to hold stuff.
-
I used hands from an 8" Action Jackson figure
but any hands that use a post/peg attachment will work.
-
Look for hands about the right scale - nothing too big.
Obitsu and Volks sell hands separately for their dolls and would
probably work well.
Swapping Hands on a Poseable Barbie:

1) Cut off the Barbie's hand at the wrist.

2) Find a drill bit for the Dremel that is just
slightly
smaller than the peg you are inserting.

3) Carefully center and drill a hole into
the end of the arm.

4) Carefully push the peg for the new hand into
place.
(remember this is a SNUG fit to hold it in place)

5) TADA! - now do the other side.
